Metaverse Conference
Thursday, March 9 at 6:30 PM — Pascal Guitton, Professor Emeritus at the University of Bordeaux & Inria
Via video conference on Teams or in person at the Totem de l'Innovation in Saint-Brieuc
Cnam Bretagne, in partnership with the French Association for the Advancement of Sciences, invites you to an evening dedicated to the METAVERSE on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 6:30 PM.
For over a year now, we have been facing an avalanche of announcements regarding the emergence of metaverses — sometimes wildly enthusiastic, sometimes catastrophist, most often excessive in one direction or the other. Pascal Guitton's presentation aims first to sort through the noise and clearly understand what metaverses will — perhaps — become, where they come from, and what they could be used for. In a second part, the main risks associated with this type of service will be discussed.
The keynote witness for the event will be Philippe CARREZ, director of EXPLORATIONS 360, a company specializing in virtual reality based in Saint-Brieuc, supported by Village by CA Côtes d'Armor.
A reminder of one of his articles on the Metaverse topic:
What is the Metaverse? 25 Years of Immersion
